A Touch of Class
Forerunner 610 gives you a number of ways to view your exercise data. Swip and scroll makes it simple to review your history, see your current pace, change settings and more. A quick tap on the screen is all it takes to advance to the next training page display.
Forerunner 610 can stand up to the elements including rain, sweat and splashes yet the screen is sensitive enough to be operated using running gloves.
Advanced Features
Inside this wrist mounted device is a computer that is ready to make sure you get the best out of your exercise. The 610 gives you accurate pace, distance, GPS position and if paired with the heart rate monitor; calories and heart rate. It can even take you back to your starting point with basic navigation mode. You can preset specific calorie consumption and heart rate training zones when paired up with the HR monitor.
Virtual Racer can provide digital competition for you out on the track. This feature used Garmin Connect to challenge against any activities uploaded to the site, or simply race against your own personal best results. Virtual Racer will account for varying speeds and real time conditions so it really is you Vs them! Virtual Partner can also be made up of a preset pace you have decided you want to run at so you can see how you stand up throughout the run.
Training Effect lets you train more effectively and offers a genuine insight into the effect your raining has on your aerobic fitness. This is Garmin’s first watch to utilise Firstbeat, which calculates Training Effect based on your user profile, heart rate and difficulty of the activity. You can literally see your fitness improve in front of your eyes - if you put the work in that is.
Wireless Analysis and Sharing
Using Ant+ technology, when you are within range of your computer following your activity, Forerunner 610 will automatically upload all of the days results to the Garmin Connect site so that you can go back and review your run in your own time. You need no wires or manual processes, the Forerunner 610 uses ANT+ wireless technology and the USB stick supplied with your Forerunner.
When you log into Garmin Connect, you can see your activity on a map, view lap splits and view activities from other users. Available on both Mac and PC.
Vibration Alert lets you set alarms for time, distance, calories, heart rate or cadence. When you reach your targets or stray out of a preset HR training zone, you will feel a gentle vibration. Very handy if you train with headphones compared to audible alert only watches.
