Product Description
GPSMAP 62 is designed to take on any terrain, in any weather thanks to it's rugged, waterproof design and high sensitivity GPS receiver. Combining high functionality with precision accuracy makes the Garmin GPSMAP 62 one of the best selling GPS units on the market. The 6.2" sunlight readable display clearly shows where you are thanks to the preloaded wordwide basemap with shaded relief. You can download pictures from Garmin Connect Photos and navigate to them with ease.
Stunning GPS quality
GPSMAP 62 features a quad helix antenna and high sensitivity WAAS/EQNOS enabled GPS receiver and benefits from HotFix satellite prediction. In English, this means that it will find a GPS signal quicker and maintain it for longer, in heavy tree cover and in deep valleys meaning you're always able to find your location.
Store waypoints, routes and track progress
Garmin GPSMAP 62 lets you store up to 200 of your own routes and up to 2,000 waypoints. The detailed route planning and tracking helps navigate from point to point and maintain a log of your trip on the move.
As you navigate to your destination, you can view upcoming changes in elevation together with waypoints and key stages along the route so that you know just what lies around the corner. GPSMAP 62 boasts a customisable dashboard so you can select which details are displayed as you use it.
Maps
Your GPSMAP 92 comes preloaded with a built in basemap with shaded relief. You are able to add more maps thanks to Garmin's wide aray of topographic, marine and road maps available for download onto the internal memory.
Connect and Share
Garmin Connect is the one stop site where you can link your GPSMAP 62 to your computer and onto the internet. Here you will be able to share your routes, tracks and waypoints in your own online space or with fellow Garmin Connect users. You will be able to swap tips, routes and waypoints and expeditions with others or simply maintain a record of what you have done.
Geocaching Friendly
GPSMAP 62 supports geocaching GPX files for downloading geocaches directly straight to your device. All this is done without the need to print off information, maps or directions so not only is this far more practical, you also save a little piece of the environment in the process.
