They have started the venture with the voice of Homer Simpson, the favourite Springfieldan of the folks. Incidentally, TomTom had already experimented in this part with soundalike celebrity voice and the lick of white paint trials.
TomTom has teamed up with 20th Century Fox to get the voice of Homer endorsed officially. This more than says that hereafter, the driver or the adventerous traveller can enjoy the voice of the yellow-bellied beer drinker guiding the person to the destinations as well as points of interests across Britain and Ireland.
It is all sorts of animations to be precise. For instance, Homer's voice will alert the traveller, "Take the first left, you might hit upon an ice cream truck! Mmmm..ice cream", instead of a bland turn left. TomTom seems to be going ahead with their latest experiment, as more of the type is in store, providing Homer succeeds.
Homer can be bought along with a whole host of voices of celebrities, for the TomTom sat navs. As a matter of fact, seventy preloaded attractions accompany a package, and Homer's instructions can be bought for GBP 7.95 at the TomTom website.
SNW: Get the equipment then let Homer guide you wherever you want to go.
