Here's how we did it;
Since satellite navigation equipment has become significantly more affordable, asking for directions has become as archaic as a VHS video player.
After seeing demand increase by 20% year on year for its range of satellite navigation products, Sat Nav Warehouse asked us to redesign their website to make it easier to ‘navigate', excuse the pun!
Originally set up to provide Snooper products to help drivers beat the dreaded speed traps, the website has seen drivers' demand for tailored global positioning systems (GPS) increase phenomenally.
As well as standard sat nav systems for cars, Sat Nav Warehouse also sells:
* Systems for lorries to help avoid narrow lanes and low bridges.
* Caravan systems that include information of over 8,000 camping sites.
* Motorbike sat navs that are weatherproof, shock proof and glove proof.
Phil Powell, company owner, Sat Nav Warehouse , said: "The provision of a drop shipping service means we expect unit sales to increase from 5,000 to around 40,000 next year. As a result it was imperative we invested in the website so retail and individual customers could see the full range of products and gadgets we're able to offer.
As we now also offer recreational GPS for people running, cycling or even on the golf course, it seems the excuse, "sorry, I got lost" will not be valid for much longer."
The relaunch of www.satnavwarehouse.com has ensured the site is intuitive to use, displays a greater product range, enables customers to provide reviews and feedback and has set up a social networking element through Facebook and Twitter.
Mario Thomas, managing director of Chapter Eight, said: "Sat Nav Warehouse realised that demand for a range of navigational equipment and gadgets was increasing and its existing website which had served it well had become quite tired in terms of its design.
The new website is much more user-friendly, making it easier to find your ideal unit and it uses lots of web 2.0 features to make navigation easier. The new site has taken under three months to design and build and is now live, ready for the busy Christmas season."
