Sat Nav Saves Speeding Fines
Speeding fines are down by 60% in Scotland thanks to Sat Nav alerts.
The
number of motorists fined as a result of speeding camera detection dropped
dramatically in Scotland and a similar pattern will probably follow suit for
the rest of the country. The drop is mainly due to the fact that many drivers
now own a satellite navigation system, which detects the
speed camera and alerts the driver.
Research shows that almost half of British drivers now own a Sat Nav system
with the speed camera alerts feature. Drivers are also more aware of the
location of speed cameras so know where to slowdown.
