Firefighters in Devon had to come to the rescue of a woman who got stuck in a brook while following instructions from her satellite navigation system.
The driver phoned for help from the middle of Grindle Brook near Woodbury Salterton in east Devon shortly before 2230 BST on Thursday.
She had burnt out the clutch as she tried to free the car from the mud.
Two fire crews and a road rescue vehicle were called to the scene and the car was removed from the brook.
Devon Fire Control said the woman told them she had been following instructions from her satellite navigation system when she ended up in the brook.
