Polar FT2 builds on the FT1 by offering you very similar training functions but differs slightly by offering automatic age-based heart rate target zones. Your Heart Rate is displayed clearly on a large and easy to read screen. You can improve your fitness by setting manual heart rate training zones.
The FT2 will display summary of your latest workout and offers coded heart rate transmission to avoid interference from other devices.
HeartTouch: allows you button free operation of the watch which leaves your hands free to aid your activity. You can preset a piece of information to appear on screen simply by moving the watch closer to the heart rate monitor. This is particularly helpful when gloves make button pressing difficult and you want to check your heart rate for example.
HR-Based target zones with visual and audible alarm: defines target zones automatically for your training session based on your age. This helps define the right intensity for each session. When you slip out of your predetermined zones, the training computer will give a visual and audible alert.
Polar OwnCode - Coded transmission: Automatically locks in a code to transmit your heart rate to the FT2. This means that the FT2 will pick up your heart rate reading only and you don;t have to worry about interference from other devices.
Polar FT2 has the capability to record your last training file with full summary. Unfortunately it will only store the latest file but other models will do more.
