A lot of Sat Nav systems on today's market spoil the driver with many complex and unnecessary features and gimmicks that over complicate the device and make it difficult to use. Snooper have developed their very latest system with the driver in mind.  

Street level mapping

Once again, the expert mapping is supplied by market leaders Navteq who deliver street level mapping for the UK, Ireland and Western Europe. To start navigating out of the box is very simple indeed - simply insert the supplied SD card into the unit, switch on and you are ready to start navigating. There are a number of ways to find your destination, the Syrius S2000 Proline ensures that you find it the way you want to. Search by full postcode, street name, city, favourites or even using the extensive list of points of interest featured on the S2000 menu which include restaurants, petrol stations, golf courses and much more! You will be guided with turn by turn voice instructions and a detailed disply of where you are going on the 4.3" LCD colour display.

TMC Traffic information - FREE of charge

Finding your way to your destination is one thing, avoiding the traffic jams and roadworks is another but with the Syrius S2000 Proline, you're one step ahead of your fellow road users. Snooper's traffic information is provided by ITIS, probably the best information provider in the UK. Traffic information is fed from hundreds of thousands of vehicles and sensors across the UK providing up to the second information making it a better service than those systems that use fixed sensors.

The Snooper PROLINE TMC service will alert you to all traffic incidents across the country and list them in order of distance from your current position. There is also the facility to monitor traffic information relevant only to your route - if there is congestion on your route, you can simply ask the PROLINE to navigate around it!

Stay safe and legal with Bluetooth technology!

 

That's right, the Snooper Syrius S2000 PROLINE features an integrated Bluetooth hands-free kit which allows you to pair your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone up with the Proline meaning that you are able to make and receive phonecalls on the move safely and legally. The Proline features a built in microphone and the voice of the person on the other end of the line is clearly audible through the built in speakers.

Speed camera updates - know what's round the corner...

The Snooper Syrius S2000 PROLINE is able to download speed camera locations from the best database in the business - the Snooper maintained Enigma speed camera database. Simply register your PROLINE* with Snooper and you will have access to the database through your PC 24/7 meaning that you are fully up to date.

The PROLINE will alert you to ALL known fixed speed camera locations as well as providing alerts when you  approach commonly used mobile camera sites where you are likely to encounter mobile safety camera vans or hand held laser guns. This measure is the most effective method of detecting a mobile camera trap due largely to the fact that most laser detectors are rather ineffective these days because once you have been targeted, there is very little you can do if you are speeding before the police gain a speed reading.

Built in MP3 Player

The Snooper Syrius S2000 PROLINE features a built in MP3 player so you can navigate to your destination whilst listening to your favourite music as well! There is the facility to plug in headphones as well as an FM transmitter (not included) which enables you to transmit your music and navigation instructions through your car stereo.

Snooper GPS Golf Shot Saver

This feature sets Snooper apart from other systems on the market - The PROLINE's Golf Shot Saver feature gives you access to over 2000 golf courses across mainland Britain. Using the latest GPS technology, the PROLINE is able to provide you with the distance to any number of features on a golf course from your current location such as water hazards, bunkers, footpaths, rough areas and of course the all important front, middle or back of the green so you can pitch the perfect shot!

The 4.3" touch screen details the hazards you are approaching with easily identifiable icons which make life on the golf course all that bit easier...

 

Snooper have designed an attachment for the Syrius S2000 PROLINE which allows you to fit the device onto your golf trolley so that you can view the information easily as you play your round. The bracket will clamp near to the handle on most golf trolleys and can be angled in a number of directions to suit. This will be available from the end of January 2008 - just in time for the new season!

The Sat Nav Warehouse opinion

Snooper have produced what is likely to be THE accessory of 2008, both in the car and on the golf course. The original Snooper Syrius won the top Which award in 2007 and since then a couple of new versions have been released, each surpassing the last and this is no exception. The features on here are all helpful to the driver and the Golf Shot Saver is a fantastic addition for the modern day golfer. If you drive in Europe then you will benefit from the European model which will soon feature European golf courses as well so we are led to believe. For the first time ever, we are awarding this product 10/10!
